How beautiful tan is, it is synonymous with relaxation, warmth, summer and cheerfulness, tan makes us more beautiful and improves mood, it will be for these and many other reasons that we work so hard to get it bright and golden. What if there was a totally natural little helper to make the tan even more beautiful? What if the answer was supplements?
I am Mrs. Adorable and I love to give advice on wellness, sun and tanning.
The help is there and it is absolutely natural, as you may have guessed from the title I am talking about supplementation. Beware any “pro-tanning” supplement is not a substitute for sunscreen; supplements do not have filters that can screen out UV rays.
WHICH SUPPLEMENTS TO CHOOSE
In addition to the very famous beta carotene, there are many other supplements that can greatly aid both tanning and the skin in general. For example, all antioxidants are good at fighting free radicals, skin aging, and thus have the effect of improving the skin and consequently the tan.
Coenzyme Q10 hinders the formation of wrinkles and is also useful in preventing sunburn.
Beta carotene contained in many foods, I discuss it here
What foods are rich in beta carotene?
has the property of coloring the skin, it settles in and makes it darker and more golden giving a unique color that combined with the natural tan from the sun, produces a unique effect giving us a killer tan.
As you can see, the combined use of supplements and sunscreen allows you to greatly improve your tan while enjoying the beneficial effects of the sun.
WHEN TO TAKE THE SUPPLEMENTS
Tanning supplements and sunscreens are great allies for getting all the benefits from sun exposure.
You know that proper use of supplementation and protection improves the color of the tan, increases its intensity, duration and counteracts annoying irritation and skin aging.
Tanning supplements should be taken a few months before sun exposure, and it is essential to continue throughout the sun exposure period. For modalities, it is best to rely on the specific directions of the supplement, but they should generally be taken with plenty of water.
TIPS ON USING SUPPLEMENTS
Supplementation is not a substitute for diet, and it is therefore advisable to eat a healthy diet and combine it with a diet rich in products containing substances beneficial to the tan such as carrots, melon, apricots and tomatoes.
Hydration is also crucial, both for taking supplements correctly and as a good habit for a healthy body and hydrated skin.
In conclusion to answer a question I am often asked:
“Do tanning supplements work?“
I reply:
“ABSOLUTELY YES.”
I can tell you for sure that you will have less sunburn, less erythema, and definitely a more golden and even tan, as well as healthy and protected skin.
Try it to believe. By Mrs. Adorable.
